NORQAIN Neverest GMT Glacier

NORQAIN Neverest

In 2023, NORQAIN reveals a duo of timepieces enhancing the Neverest Glacier collection. They are distinguished by their golden vein-like designs contrasting against the dial. Shifting from its 2021 model with a plain white background, these new models introduce a significant flair with asymmetrical golden designs on their faces. The initial watch combines black with gold, based on the traditional Neverest design, while its counterpart presents a gray and gold GMT version, marking a first for a glacier dial.

Introducing the NORQAIN Neverest Glacier 40mm Black & Gold for 2023 – it's essentially a fresh take on its predecessor in terms of hue. Built from 316L stainless steel, its dimensions read 40mm in width and 12.55mm in depth. The dimensions between the lugs come to 20mm and the lug-to-lug length is 48.3mm. A double-curved sapphire crystal shields its face, flanked by a rotating bezel equipped with a ceramic layer. A hallmark of NORQAIN, a customizable plate is found on the left, and the watch boasts a water resistance up to 200 meters, courtesy of its secure crown and rear.

What sets the NORQAIN Neverest Glacier Black & Gold apart is its face, hand, and bezel designs. Inspired by the perilous Khumbu Icefall on Mount Everest, the dial spotlights a unique cracked pattern, now accentuated in a vivid gold against a black backdrop. Gold outlines are found on the bezel markings, luminescent hands, and hour indicators. Pops of vibrant red embellish the seconds' hand tip and specific inscriptions.

The metallic frame measures 41mm across and 14.94mm deep, with a lug measurement of 20mm and a lug-to-lug span of 48.9mm. It comes with a sapphire protector and a 24-hour ceramic bezel, and a commendable water resistance of up to 100 meters. This GMT version harmonizes gray with gold, retains similar hand and face designs but includes a date window and a 24-hour scale around its border. Red highlights are found on the GMT hand and specific dial texts.

Driving these 2023 NORQAIN Neverest Glacier models are Kenissi-manufactured, COSC-certified chronometer movements. While the Black & Gold runs on the Caliber NN20/1, the Grey & Gold GMT uses the Caliber NN20/2. Both have a 28,800bph (4 Hz) pace and store energy for around 70 hours. Notably, the GMT movement also has an adjustable local hour hand feature.

Options for the 2023 NORQAIN Neverest Glacier watches include a metal band or a black rubber alternative, echoing designs from earlier Neverest models. The metal band utilizes a tri-link structure with a dual-hinge lock, while the rubber option mirrors the bezel's design. Both models, with their 20mm lug size, allow for a plethora of third-party strap alternatives.
